Tatreez embroidery has been passed down through Palestinian families for generations. Our hand embroidered products are not only beautiful, but also durable. Vintage tatreez pieces over 100 years old can still be found today, reflecting the strength of traditional craftsmanship.
Caring for Tatreez Embroidery
Our tatreez embroidery is stitched using pearl cotton and metallic threads on cotton and cotton blend fabrics. We recommend spot cleaning using a soft cloth with cold water and a mild detergent or a solution of water and distilled vinegar.
Gently rub the embroidery to remove dirt or stains. Avoid harsh chemicals or strong brushing to preserve the texture and color of the threads.
Fabric Products
All fabric based products are made from cotton or cotton blend materials. They are machine washable using a delicate cycle with cold water.
For best results, lay flat to dry and avoid high heat drying to maintain fabric quality and embroidery integrity.
Leather
Leather products can be cared for using a water based leather cleaner and moisturizer. Apply gently using a soft cloth.
A protective spray may also be used to help preserve the leather surface and extend product lifespan.
